Overview
Nick Bottcher is a litigation attorney and certified public accountant who brings a multidisciplinary approach to legal disputes. Nick has experience with large financial investigations on civil and criminal matters.
Before joining Stoel Rives, Nick was a clerk for the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon. During law school, he was a clinical student for the Northwestern Bluhm Legal Clinic, Complex Civil Litigation and Investor Protection Center; a judicial extern to the Honorable Franklin U. Valderrama of the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois; and a law student intern in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of New York. Before attending law school Nick served as a financial statement auditor for publicly traded and privately held clients throughout the West Coast.

- Managed pro bono matter of formerly incarcerated client and led a successful settlement conference in the Northern District of Illinois.
- Drafted brief opposing motion to strike affirmative defenses and argued motion in the Circuit Court of Cook County, defending elderly client in a foreclosure action.
