Overview

Mary Hull is Chair of the firm’s Technology Ventures Group. She has a general corporate and securities law practice with an emphasis on the representation of emerging-growth companies. Mary regularly advises start-up and early-stage companies on general corporate governance matters and equity compensation issues, and she has extensive experience in representing these clients in venture capital and angel financings.

Mary has broad experience representing public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, debt financing transactions, and executive compensation matters. In 2023, Best Lawyers® named her “Lawyer of the Year” in Mergers and Acquisitions Law in Portland.

Mary also has experience representing clients in the health care industry, including physician groups and coordinated care organizations, and has worked on dozens of affiliations between dental practices and companies that provide business support to dental practices.

  • Representation of FlightStats, a leading real-time global flight data provider, in its acquisition by FlightGlobal, the aviation arm of Reed Business Information (a division of London-based RELX Group).
  • Representation of Eleven, the hospitality industry’s leading cloud-based platform for managing guest Internet, in the sale of its business center managed services division to Nashville-based Uniguest.
  • Representation of Precision Castparts Corp., the world leader in structural investment castings, forged components, and airfoil castings for aircraft engines and industrial gas turbines, in its sale of McSwain Manufacturing Corporation to Precision Holdings.
