Mary Urness is a litigation paralegal specializing within the firm’s Construction & Design practice group. Mary provides assistance in all aspects of case management and organization. She has extensive experience preparing for trials, arbitrations, hearings, and mediations. She manages document collection, organization, review, and production; she also drafts pleadings, including motions, declarations, complaints, answers, and discovery protocols. Mary has extensive experience working with various database platforms and is an ACEDS Certified E-Discovery Specialist.

Previously, Mary was a Senior Legal Assistant with Morrison & Foerster, LLP (San Francisco: 1990, 1994-2004; Tokyo: 1991-1994), during which time she focused on litigation for intellectual property, securities, antitrust, transportation, and other general litigation. She managed and supervised legal assistant teams in multiple offices while working in the firm’s Tokyo office for a large international arbitration involving complex technical issues. Involved in all aspects of case management and organization. She also managed document collection, organization, review, analysis, and production for large complex cases.
