Overview
Jenny Palmer, a partner at Stoel Rives, is an employment attorney and litigator. She represents companies in employment and business disputes, including complex litigation and administrative proceedings. She routinely defends employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination, and represents companies in breach of contract, fraud, and tortious interference cases.
Jenny represents employers across a wide range of industries, including technology, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture, and retail. She has a proven track record in both state and federal courts, successfully defending clients in numerous bench and jury trials, and in appellate matters. Additionally, Jenny is skilled in representing employers in administrative proceedings and internal investigations. She also provides her clients with employment advice and counsel on various employment-related issues, including accommodation and leave requests and disciplinary issues.
In addition to her commercial employment and litigation practice, Jenny represents guardians ad litem in child protection cases in the Idaho State Court. She also serves on the board of directors of LED, a nonprofit organization creating innovative and accessible artistic experiences in Boise.
Jenny has been recognized with listings in Best Lawyers®: Ones to Watch in America for Commercial Litigation, and she was honored with the Leaders in Law award by the Idaho Business Review.

- Secured summary judgment for client facing breach of contract, promissory estoppel, and Idaho Consumer Protection Act claims.

- Represented multiple clients through bench and jury trials on commercial and employment claims.
- Routinely defends clients against charges of discrimination and retaliation before the Idaho Human Rights Commission and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
- Routinely counsels clients on various employment-related concerns, including questions related to disability accommodation, fitness for duty, wage claims, termination, and severance.
