Overview
Heidi Wilder, an experienced paralegal with over 20 years in the legal industry, is a member of Stoel Rives’ Litigation group. Her areas of focus include managing various complex disputes and litigations such as business, contract, class action, environmental, telecommunications, construction defect, products liability, and toxic torts.
Heidi’s role involves comprehensive case management, which includes maintaining communication with clients, experts, and counsel, as well as managing documents. She is also responsible for legal research, preparing for discovery and depositions, and handling electronic and technical aspects of projects, particularly those related to electronically stored information (ESI). Heidi’s skills extend to drafting discovery requests, responses, and pretrial pleadings, and she plays a key role in preparing for mediations, arbitrations, trials, and appellate work in several state and federal jurisdictions.
Throughout her career, Heidi has contributed to a variety of high-profile cases. Her involvement includes assisting in a substantial jury trial for a major state transportation department, leading to a favorable outcome. Heidi also played a key role in a team that achieved a successful defense verdict for a prominent online retailer in a contract dispute. Additionally, she helped defend a telecommunications company in a breach of contract jury trial and aided in securing a summary judgment dismissal in a case involving intellectual property infringement claims against the same online retailer.
Before her time at Stoel Rives, Heidi worked at the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, where she started as a litigation secretary in the Civil Division and later took on a paralegal role in the Natural Resources Division. She also provided legal support in the Criminal Division.
