Overview
Emily Olsen is an associate in Stoel Rives’ Corporate practice group, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions. She has experience assisting in the M&A due diligence process, including drafting and reviewing due diligence memorandums and disclosure schedules, managing due diligence checklists and request lists, and reviewing organizational and governing documents, material contracts, and corporate histories. Her responsibilities have also included drafting and reviewing various ancillary documents in M&A transactions, such as resolutions, escrow agreements, nondisclosure agreements, resignations, and organizational and governing documents. Emily has also acted as general corporate counsel for various domestic and cross-border client matters, often engaging in corporate research and coordination with local counsel in various jurisdictions.
Before joining Stoel Rives, Emily was an associate at an international law firm, where she gained experience across a broad spectrum of business matters. In addition to her corporate practice, she also served as a member of the real estate and finance teams in the context of M&A deals or real estate acquisitions.
Prior to attending law school, Emily was a substitute special education instructional assistant in various alternative schools. In this role, she taught students diagnosed with behavioral, emotional, and/or learning disabilities, including those with histories of violent, disruptive, and/or antisocial behavior.
