Ella Vincent is an attorney in Stoel Rives’ Corporate group, focusing on insolvency and restructuring issues, alongside related litigation. She has adeptly represented clients across various venues, including bankruptcies, state court receiverships, and creditor-debtor cases. Ella excels in navigating complex challenges, delivering practical solutions tailored to each client’s unique business context and position to help them achieve the best possible outcome.

Before joining Stoel Rives in its Minneapolis office, Ella served as a law clerk to the Honorable Brian D. Lynch of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Washington, where she further developed her understanding of judicial processes and unique considerations in bankruptcy cases. Ella also served as an associate in two major bankruptcy groups in Seattle, Washington.

Ella’s professional dedication extends beyond her case work. She actively contributes to the legal community through her roles with the American Bar Association’s Business Bankruptcy Committee and the Minnesota Network of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC).

  • Served on a team that represented a large commercial landlord as a creditor in a complex chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding, focusing on protecting the client’s interests in its complex leasing relationships.
  • Helped advise a major real estate management company on protecting its interests as a creditor in a subchapter V bankruptcy proceeding, including analyzing land use restrictions and the breadth of free and clear sales under section 363(f) of the Bankruptcy Code.
  • Advised commercial client in its responses to multiple Uniform Commercial Code section 9-406 letters demanding diversion of payments on vendor account payable.
  • Part of a team that successfully represented a municipal public hospital district in a case involving multifaceted aspects of bankruptcy and practical impacts on people's lives. Guided the hospital to stay open and continue operating as an essential resource for the rural community.
