Winners Announced at the 2015 Idaho Innovation Awards

BOISE- Winners were announced tonight during the tenth annual Idaho Innovation Awards, presented by Stoel Rives LLP, Kickstand and Idaho Technology Council (ITC), and supported by Deloitte. Winners and finalists were honored at a special awards presentation during the Idaho Technology Council’s sixth annual Hall of Fame Celebration at Boise Centre.

The Idaho Innovation Awards recognize innovative accomplishments in four categories. The 2015 Idaho Innovation Award winners are as follows:

Commercialized Innovation of the Year

  • Burns 1401 Less Lethal Ammunition by Integrity Ballistics LLC
Early-Stage Innovation of the Year
  • Advanced Ceramic Fibers by Advanced Ceramic Fibers, LLC
Innovative Company of the Year
  • Kochava
Innovator of the Year
  • Dr. Lorna Finman, President, LCF Enterprises; Founder, Discover Technology
“For ten years, the Idaho Innovation Awards has served as a catalyst to bringing important recognition to the impressive innovators and innovative accomplishments in Idaho,” said Brian Larsen, Stoel Rives corporate partner and 2015 Idaho Innovation Awards chairman. “Tonight’s winners and finalists symbolize an unbiased endorsement by our community's business leaders,” said Larsen.

Finalists in each category were also honored and recognized at the event. The 2015 finalists are as follows:

Commercialized Innovation of the Year:

  • PreView Wireless WorkSight Radar by Preco Electronics
Early-Stage Innovation of the Year:
  • CellSage by Idaho National Laboratory
  • Integrated Waste Screening System by Idaho National Laboratory
Innovative Company of the Year:
  • Fisher’s Technology
  • Proof Eyewear
Innovator of the Year:
  • Matt Rissell, CEO, TSheets.com
  • Chris Taylor, President and CEO, Fisher’s Technology
The nominations were judged by a Selection Committee consisting of more than 30 leaders from Idaho’s business, technology and academic communities. Votes were tallied by accountants at Deloitte.

In addition to the announcement of the 2015 Idaho Innovation Award winners, the Idaho Technology Council inducted Micron into its “Hall of Fame.” More than 800 individuals from Idaho’s business and academic communities attended the event.
