academic, business and civic leaders and investors.
SALT LAKE CITY — Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that nominations are open through January 28, 2022, for the 2021 Utah Innovation Awards, presented by Stoel Rives in partnership with Utah Business. The awards program, which was not held in 2020 due to the pandemic and related public health concerns, recognizes Utah’s vibrant community of innovators — from startups to established companies — and their breakthrough creations. In celebrating successful innovations, the awards program aims to build the state’s economy by acknowledging and rewarding the creative minds fueling innovation within it.
Innovations will be placed in the following categories:
- Innovative Company of the Year
- Innovator of the Year
- Early-Stage Innovation of the Year
- Commercialized Innovation of the Year
- Product Innovation of the Year
- Service Innovation of the Year
- Process Innovation of the Year
Nominees in the Utah Innovation Awards program undergo a strict evaluation process by peers and leaders from the state’s business, civic, and academic communities. Innovations — whether products, services or processes — are judged on their novelty, market need, economic impact and disruption of the status quo.
The 2021 finalists will be announced in fall and winners will be named at Utah Innovation Awards event in October. Details will be announced soon.
