Todd Hanchett Elected to Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel

Portland, Ore. — Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that partner Todd Hanchett has been elected to the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC). Membership is by nomination only and limited to 1,000 practicing lawyers and corporate counsel in the United States. Hanchett is one of only eleven FDCC members in Oregon.

The FDCC is comprised of recognized leaders in the legal community who have achieved professional distinction.  Its mission is to promote the knowledge, fellowship, and professionalism of its members as they pursue the course of a balanced justice system and represent those in need of a defense in civil lawsuits. Members are elected by the Board of Directors upon recommendation of an independent Admissions Committee that investigates the qualifications of each nominee using a rigorous vetting process.

Hanchett represents employers in high-stakes litigation and traditional labor law matters and regularly represents clients before state and federal courts around the country, as well as in labor arbitrations and before the National Labor Relations Board. His practice focuses particularly on companies in the medical device, senior housing, health care and hospitality industries.

Hanchett received his J.D. from Willamette University College of Law  and his B.S. from Walla Walla College. He is admitted to the state bars of Oregon and Washington, U.S. District Courts for the District of Oregon and the Eastern and Western Districts of Washington, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth, Eighth and Ninth Circuits.
