Susan Kimble Joins Stoel Rives’ Seattle Health Care Team
Stoel Rives LLP announced today that Susan L. Kimble joined the firm’s Seattle office as Of Counsel in the Health Care group. Stoel Rives’ Health Care practice provides legal services across the full spectrum of health care and health plan law, including regulatory compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, labor and employment, litigation, corporate, employee benefits, tax, intellectual property, and real estate.
“We could not be more excited to add Susan to our team! She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will strengthen our ability to strategically serve clients across the health care industry,” said Maren Norton, co-chair of Stoel Rives’ Health Care practice. “Her years of in-house experience provide a unique lens into the industry, and her vast experience will be an asset to our health care clients, large and small.”
Kimble joins Stoel Rives from 98point6 Inc., a developer of a virtual telehealth platform, and its affiliated primary and behavioral health care clinic. Prior to 98point6, Kimble was assistant general counsel with MultiCare Health System and a staff attorney with St. Charles Health System in Bend, Oregon.
“I am thrilled to be joining Stoel Rives because my new colleagues are, as I am, enthusiastic about having a full-service, intelligent, and compassionate health care practice to take care of the people that spend so much time taking care of everyone else,” said Kimble. “In a world of shrinking margins and resources, and increasing expectations, health care entities deserve legal support designed with them in mind. With so much at stake, it makes sense to entrust the legal end of health care delivery to lawyers who want to support health care’s evolution for the better. That’s our team at Stoel Rives.”
Kimble received her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, and her undergraduate degree in biology, with a minor in bioethics, from the University of Virginia.
“Our firm represents health care providers, insurers, managed care entities, group health plans and vendors of all sizes and levels of complexity,” said Brenda Baumgart, co-chair of Stoel Rives’ Health Care practice. “Susan’s background will add a layer of clinical operations, risk management, and tech startup acumen to create a truly full-service practice that will benefit our clients in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.”
