Stoel Rives Sponsors Reception at Women in Agribusiness Summit, Hosts Agribusiness Industry Retreat
MINNEAPOLIS — Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to sponsor the opening night reception for the 8th annual Women in Agribusiness Summit, to be held Sept. 25 to 27 at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis.
The summit provides professional development opportunities for executive-level women in agriculture through opportunities to network with influential executives in the industry and attend panel discussions on the latest trends, outlooks and innovations. Panels will cover topics including sustainability, preparing for a recession, climate risks, product trends, commodity risk management, managing workplace stress, and improving negotiating skills.
The 2019 summit also will feature the inaugural IGNITE: Women-Owned Business Expo, a venue for women-owned businesses to exhibit their products and services to the supplier diversity professionals searching for them.
Stoel Rives’ attorneys Emily Atmore, Margaret Dalton, Melissa Foster, Anne Glazer, Nicole Hancock, Krista McIntyre and Claire Mitchell will attend the conference.
Hancock will moderate a session entitled “Keynote: U.S. State Commissioners of Agriculture Panel,” which will feature Celia Gould, Idaho Director of Agriculture; Kate Greenberg, Colorado Commissioner of Agriculture; Bettina Ring, Virginia Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry; and Kim Vanneman, South Dakota Secretary of Agriculture.
“My colleagues and I always enjoy attending the Women in Agriculture Summit for the chance to meet so many accomplished, interesting women working in the ag industry,” said Hancock, office managing partner of Stoel Rives’ Boise office. “It is gratifying to be able to contribute, if only tangentially, to their success and the commensurate strength of businesses in the field.”
In conjunction with the Women in Agribusiness Summit, Stoel Rives’ Agribusiness, Food, Beverage and Timber industry group is hosting an agribusiness industry retreat for all Stoel Rives attorneys who practice in the space. The second retreat the group has hosted this year, the goal of the firm-wide collaborative efforts is to help the lawyers bring cohesive counsel to their clients. The Agribusiness, Food, Beverage, and Timber team will host an industry dinner at Fhima’s Minneapolis immediately following the Women in Agribusiness reception.
