Stoel Rives Continues Rapid Growth in Seattle Market with Acquisition of Two New Partners
SEATTLE — Stoel Rives LLP is continuing its expansion in the Seattle area with the recent acquisition of two new bankruptcy attorneys, Bryan Glover and Andrew Morton. They join the firm as partners in the financial restructuring and insolvency practice, which assists a wide range of business clients with debt restructurings, receiverships and bankruptcy cases.
“We are excited to welcome Bryan and Andrew to the partnership,” said Vanessa Soriano Power, Managing Partner of Stoel Rives’ Seattle office. “Adding Bryan and Andrew to our bench of experienced bankruptcy attorneys allows us to strengthen our position in the Pacific Northwest and better serve our clients in key industries such as commercial real estate, energy, agribusiness and natural resources.”
Throughout his career, Glover has worked almost exclusively in the insolvency space, focusing his practice on commercial and bankruptcy litigation. He helps creditors to restructure performing and distressed credit facilities, defends lender-liability claims, represents purchasers of assets in and outside of bankruptcy court, defends fraudulent and preferential transfer actions in bankruptcy court, and more. Chambers USA has named him an “Up and Coming” attorney in the Bankruptcy / Restructuring practice area in Washington. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Hampden-Sydney College and a law degree from Emory University School of Law.
“I am eager to continue building the corporate restructuring practice within Stoel Rives’ bankruptcy group,” said Glover. “The group’s strategic work has created a high-performing platform for clients, and we will continue to serve as trusted counsel for clients that have needs in bankruptcy-related matters.”
Morton represents debtors, creditors, and other parties-in-interest in workouts, insolvency proceedings, and bankruptcy matters, including cases under chapters 7 and 11, and cross-border insolvencies involving U.S. cases with parallel insolvency proceedings in Canada, the U.K, and other foreign jurisdictions. He holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Washington and a law degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law.
“Stoel Rives’ strong regional presence and national platform first attracted me to the firm,” said Morton. “I look forward to continuing to offer my clients sophisticated legal counsel bolstered by the talented attorneys and resources available at Stoel Rives.”
Glover and Morton both join Stoel Rives from Foster Pepper PLLC.
