Stoel Rives Brings Innovation Awards Program to Sacramento Region
<SACRAMENTO - Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that it has expanded its popular Innovation Awards franchise to the Sacramento, California region. First debuted in Utah (2002) and Idaho (2005), the annual awards recognize significant innovations and the local companies and professionals that created them. The Sacramento Region Innovation Awards program will be organized with support from the Sacramento Business Journal (media sponsor) and Moss Adams LLP (official CPA vote tabulation).

Award nominations will be reviewed by a Selection Committee consisting of leaders from Sacramento’s business, academic and technology communities. Finalists will be announced in late-Summer. Finalists and winners will be recognized at an awards luncheon on Friday, November 4th, 2016 at the Doubletree Hotel in Sacramento.
Nominations will be accepted into the following categories:
- Food and Agribusiness
- Sustainability (incl. Clean Tech, Energy Storage, Water, Climate Change Adaptation, etc.)
- Medical and Health Technologies & Services - sponsored by MedStart (incl. devices, drugs, diagnostics, medical IT products, etc.)
- Life Sciences and Health Services (incl. Biotech, Medical Device)
- Advanced Manufacturing
- Software (incl. consumer/enterprise, social media, apps, gaming, cloud, big data, etc.)
- Hardware & Electronics

* The innovation must be created or a primary portion of the work on the innovation must have been performed by a Sacramento-region entity. Sacramento-region is defined as Butte, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Solano, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba counties.
