PORTLAND, Ore. — Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that environmental partner Timothy L. McMahan has been named to the board of directors of the nonprofit Forth, effective immediately.
Forth advocates for electric transportation and shared mobility, using innovation to bring together communities, car companies, industry partners, utilities and entrepreneurs to support business growth, create living-wage jobs and strengthen local economies. The organization has created initiatives and programs that:
- Assist cities throughout the U.S. in developing strategies and implementing programs to accelerate the transition to electric transportation.
- Provide assistance and incentives for Lyft and Uber Drivers to make the move to electric vehicles (EV).
- Encourage and enable major employers and multi-unit dwelling property managers and developers to provide EV charging infrastructure for their employees and tenants/residents.
“I am a great admirer of the work Forth does to promote EV use as well as the adoption of other smart transportation technologies and glad to be able to help it further its goals,” McMahan said. “I am impressed also with Forth’s efforts to design policies that remove obstacles to the technologies and provide their benefits to underserved communities.”
McMahan practices in the areas of energy, land use, real estate development, environmental and municipal law. He has extensive experience in representing energy facility developers, property owners and municipal clients in Washington and Oregon, focusing his practice on leading interdisciplinary teams advocating for and defending energy facilities and other major infrastructure projects facing opposition.
