Stoel Rives Attorney Tim McMahan Elected Chair of LifeWorks NW Board
Portland, OR — Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that partner Timothy L. McMahan has been elected chairman of the board at LifeWorks NW. McMahan has served on LifeWorks NW’s board since 2011 and currently is board vice chair and chair of the Board Planning & Strategy Committee.
LifeWorks NW began life in 1961 as Tualatin Valley Child Guidance Center, formed by a group of concerned citizens who had become aware of the lack of mental health services for children in Washington County. As the organization grew over the years, it added alcohol treatment and service for both adults and older adults and alcohol and drug services for youth, and in 2004 became LifeWorks NW. It merged with Children’s Relief Nursery in 2012, adding that organization’s child abuse and neglect prevention services to its capabilities. Today, LifeWorks NW is a leading non-profit, community-based prevention, mental health and addiction agency that helps more than 17,000 people each year in the Portland metro area and beyond.
