Stoel Rives Appoints Nicole Hancock as New Boise Office Managing Partner

Boise, ID — The law firm of Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that partner Nicole C. Hancock has been appointed the new Office Managing Partner of the firm’s Boise office, effective January 1, 2016. Hancock is responsible for the day-to-day administrative management of the office, which has more than 30 attorneys and staff. Stoel Rives Boise lawyers provide legal services in the areas of construction and design; corporate; environment, land use and natural resources; labor and employment; business litigation; and real estate law.

Hancock, formerly  the chair of Stoel Rives’ Food and Agribusiness industry team, represents corporate clients in a variety of legal issues that include contractual disputes, trade secret defense and enforcement, intellectual property enforcement and litigation, licensing disputes, and other corporate matters. She specializes in providing legal services to agricultural businesses that include wineries, vineyards, breweries, distilleries, food and beverage distribution companies, seed companies, produce companies, agricultural processing companies, agriculture cooperatives and corporate farming operations.

Hancock has been selected as one of "America's Leading Lawyers for Business" by Chambers USA in the Litigation-General Commercial practice area for 2011 through 2015. She received her B.S. from Western Oregon University in  1998 and her J.D. magna cum laude from Willamette University College of Law in 2002. She clerked for the Honorable T.G. Nelson for the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She is admitted to practice in the state bars of Idaho, Washington and Oregon.

Hancock succeeds corporate partner Kris Ormseth, who served in the Boise Office Managing Partner role since 2012 and previously from 2003 to 2009.
