Ramona Monroe Appointed Trustee-at-Large of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation
Anchorage, AK — Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that attorney Ramona L. Monroe has been appointed a Trustee-at-Large for the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation (RMMLF).
The RMMLF, now entering its 62nd year, is a collaborative educational non-profit organization dedicated to the scholarly and practical study of the law and regulations relating to mining, oil and gas, water, public lands, energy, environmental protection, and other related areas. The Foundation offers programs including institutes, short courses and workshops; publications; its online Digital Library; grants to law schools and faculty; and scholarships for qualified law students. The Foundation’s Trustees Council includes representatives from 30 law schools, 13 bar associations, and 19 mining and oil and gas associations.
Ramona Monroe serves as of counsel at Stoel Rives and splits time between the firm’s Anchorage and Seattle offices, focusing her practice on assisting property owners and developers obtain land and permits for development of property and extraction of natural resources. She also practices in natural resources and land use law, including federal, state, and local permitting processes, preparation of title opinions, mineral transactions, SEPA/NEPA compliance, wetlands, shoreline and critical area permitting, and negotiation of franchise agreements for use of public rights-of-way.
