Partner Jeff Nielson Named to Idaho Business Review Accomplished Under 40—Class of 2023
BOISE, Idaho—Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that partner Jeffrey I. Nielson has been selected to the Idaho Business Review Accomplished Under 40—Class 2023, which comprises “40 dynamic people in industry, government and the nonprofit sector who will be the decision-makers of tomorrow.” The honorees, selected from nearly 200 nominees for their professional achievement, leadership, mentorship, and community service, will be celebrated at an awards event June 15, 2023, at the Boise Centre in downtown Boise.
A rising star in Idaho’s legal industry, Nielson is a commercial real estate attorney whose influential work supports growth in a variety of industries in Idaho and across the country, including the renewable energy sector, in which he has a significant practice.
Nielson regularly advises institutional lenders, including the mortgage investment divisions of national life insurance companies, in negotiating and closing permanent and construction loans and has handled originations totaling hundreds of millions of dollars. These loans provide crucial funding to develop, build, and operate a variety of industrial, multifamily, office, and retail projects.
Nielson has represented renewable energy developers, tax equity investors, and lenders in the development, acquisition, and financing of solar and wind energy-generation projects. Licensed in Idaho, Texas, and Nevada, he has an extensive national practice and advises a wide range of clients on significant solar and wind projects. In Idaho, he was instrumental to the recent tax equity financing of the largest utility-scale solar project in the state.
Nielson is committed to mentoring and training new attorneys and other young professionals. He co-chairs the Stoel Rives Real Estate practice group’s training committee and has developed and presented several Continuing Legal Education courses on a variety of topics for young attorneys.
