Laurie Huotari Named to Twin Cities Business’s Notable Women in Law List

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.—Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that Minneapolis Office Managing Partner Laurie W. Huotari has been named to the Twin Cities Business 2023 class of Notable Women in Law, which recognizes exemplary legal professionals who “handle complex transactions,” “use their expertise to guide a variety of clients through obstacles,” and “are instrumental in serving as mentors, doing pro bono work that addresses social and economic causes, and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.”

Huotari practices in Stoel Rives’ Corporate group and has two decades of experience guiding companies and enterprises in all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, company reorganizations, debt and equity financings, renewable energy project financings, commercial transactions, joint ventures, and strategic alliances. Though Huotari has a broad range of local and national clients, the focus of her practice is primarily on the energy, agribusiness, food, and life sciences industries.

Huotari, who was named managing partner for the firm’s Minneapolis office at the beginning of 2023, leads efforts to expand Stoel’s community engagement in Minnesota, including the firm’s partnership with LegalCORPS and a newly created alliance with the University of Minnesota’s Business Law Clinic. She also promotes initiatives to invigorate the office’s collaborative culture, particularly for associates who joined during the pandemic.
