Joseph McCarthy Elected Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers

Seattle, WA — Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that partner Joseph P. McCarthy has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers for admission in the Class of 2015.  Admission is by invitation only following a rigorous screening process and is limited to “lawyers who are viewed as distinguished real estate practitioners, who observe high standards of professional and ethical conduct, who have contributed substantially to improvement of real estate law, and who actively practice and have a minimum of ten years’ experience in real estate law.” 

The College, which was founded in 1978, is the premier organization of U.S. real estate lawyers. Lawyers are elected to fellowship in recognition of their legal ability, experience, professional leadership and ethical conduct in the practice of real estate law.  

McCarthy practices in Stoel Rives’ Real Estate and Construction group and represents owners, developers and investors in the development and finance of a wide range of commercial real estate projects. His practice includes multifamily, retail, mixed-use and industrial projects as well as condominiums and planned communities. A substantial part of his practice is the creation of residential, commercial and mixed-use condominiums and other common interest communities. McCarthy has been listed in Best Lawyers in America® for Real Estate Law from 2011 to 2015.
