Kirk Maag Talks Diversity & Inclusion with Capital Press

In The News

Stoel Rives partner Kirk Maag recently co-hosted the third annual reception for the Cultivating Change Foundation in Portland on Feb. 15. The event was designed to bring together leaders in the agriculture and forest products industries to send a message of diversity and inclusion. The foundation was formed in 2015 to value and elevate lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals in the agricultural industry through advocacy, education and community.

When asked about the importance of diversity and inclusion in the agricultural industry, Maag told Capital Press reporter George Plaven: “I believe that every young person who is passionate about the agriculture and forest products industries should feel welcome, regardless of his or her sexual orientation.”
