Labor and employment attorney Karen O’Connor, tax attorney Kevin Pearson and corporate attorney Jim Kearney joined host Dan Bruton on the PDX Executive Podcast: “Stoel Rives LLP: What Small Businesses Need to Know about the CARES Act,” April 13, 2020. Bruton and his guests discussed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, focusing on the Act’s tax and employment law implications for small businesses. They also looked at the Paycheck Protection Program established by the CARES Act, under which eligible businesses may receive a low-interest loan to cover certain allowable expenses.
