Announcing the First Annual Sacramento Region Innovation Awards
The nomination period for the first annual Sacramento Region Innovations Awards, presented by Stoel Rives LLP with support from Moss Adams LLP and the Sacramento Business Journal, opens June 1. The inaugural awards program will recognize business and technology innovations in six categories, honoring the people and organizations that bring new products and services to the region*. Nominations forms can be completed and submitted online at www.bizjournals.com/sacramento/nomination/ through Friday, July 22, 2016.

Business and technology nominations are accepted into the following categories:
- Advanced Manufacturing
- Food and Agribusiness
- Hardware & Electronics
- Medical and Health Technologies & Services - supported by MedStart
- Software
- Sustainability

Award nominations will be reviewed by a Selection Committee consisting of leaders from Sacramento’s business, academic and technology sectors. Finalists will be announced in September and winners and finalists will be celebrated at an awards luncheon on Friday, November 4th, 2016 at the Doubletree Hotel in Sacramento.
* The innovation must be created or a primary portion of the work on the innovation must have been performed by a Sacramento-region entity. Sacramento-region is defined as Butte, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Solano, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba counties.
