My name is Maren Norton and I'm a partner at Stoel Rives. So I am a trial lawyer to my core. My happy place in life is in front of a jury. But in big law practice that takes a variety of forms. It depends on the day you ask me, about a third to a half of my practice is environmental litigation and largely Superfund cleanup. So federal CERCLA and then the state equivalents such as MTCA here in the state of Washington. About a third of what I do is then in the healthcare space, and then the middle, the other third if you will, is a hodgepodge of really highly regulated industries, governmental investigations and some white collar in there. The overlay among my very interesting and unique practice is really highly regulated industries that have a huge regulatory bent to them, that are grappling each day with regulators and also attorney general and US attorney's office on the other side.
