BOISE, Idaho — Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that partner Wendy Olson has been selected by the Concordia University School of Law to receive its 2018 “Leaders in Action” award. The award recognizes leaders who have made significant contributions to improving Idaho and the lives of its residents. Olson and retired Concordia University President Dr. Charles Schlimpert were recognized at an awards event held on Oct. 24, 2018, in Boise.

Concordia University, whose home campus is in Portland, Ore., is a private, liberal arts university that was founded more than 100 years ago as a training seminary for the Lutheran church, before becoming a junior college after World War II. The law school in Boise, started in 2007 to address the fact that the city was one of only a few state capitals in the United States without a law school, welcomed its first class in the fall of 2012.

Olson is a former U.S. Attorney for the District of Idaho and a past president and current president-elect of the Idaho Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. She is a partner in Stoel Rives’ Litigation group, where her practice focuses on government investigations, white collar criminal defense and civil litigation. Olson has more than two decades of experience prosecuting white collar crime cases as well as criminal civil rights violations.
