Introducing The 2016 Sacramento Region Innovation Awards Finalists
Sacramento, CA — The Sacramento Region Innovation Awards is thrilled to announce that 17 innovation finalists have been selected for its inaugural 2016 program. Presented by Stoel Rives LLP, Moss Adams LLP and the Sacramento Business Journal, the program will feature winners in six categories to be announced at an awards luncheon on Friday, November 4, 2016 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Sacramento.
The Innovation Awards is also excited to announce that Golden 1 Center, the new home of the NBA’s Sacramento Kings, will receive a special “Innovation of the Year” award at the event. The arena will be the most sustainable and technologically advanced arena in the world. Accepting the award on behalf of the Kings, President Chris Granger will give a keynote speech at the luncheon, highlighting the arena’s impact on the surrounding community and its industry-leading commitments to sustainability, technology innovation and local industry.
The Sacramento Region Innovation Awards celebrates and promotes pioneering innovations and the local talent behind new products, services and processes in the marketplace. The 2016 Finalists are:

The program’s Selection Committee reviewed more than 80 nominations submitted online through the Sacramento Business Journal between June 1 and July 29, 2016. Committee members were sourced from the region’s business, academic and technology sectors, and include representatives from MedStart, CleanStart, AgStart, UC Davis’ Venture Catalyst, Greater Sacramento Area Economic Council, World Food Center, Teichert, Intel, Pride Industries, California Manufacturing & Technology Association, Valley Vision, SMUD, Raley’s and Sutter Health, among others.
The November 4 awards luncheon begins at 11:30 am with a networking period and innovation showcase, followed by formal program from noon to 1:30 pm. Individual tickets and table sponsorships may be reserved through the Sacramento Business Journal.
