Lakefield Veterinary Group Finalizes Investment by Peloton Capital Management

Stoel Rives LLP represented Lakefield Veterinary Group, a family-owned veterinary hospital and veterinary practice acquisition company, in finalizing a strategic minority investment by Peloton Capital Management (PCM). The amount of the investment was not disclosed.

Lakefield Veterinary Group, which has more than 70 locations nationwide providing veterinary care, will use the funds to continue its mission of acquiring successful veterinary hospitals while maintaining the unique characteristics that made them thrive. Lakefield co-founder Alexandre Desmarais and his family will remain the significant majority owners of the company.

PCM is a Toronto-based private investment firm that currently manages more than C$1.25B in invested and committed capital and has established successful partnerships with ten platform companies across the U.S. and Canada.

Steven Boender led the team that advised Lakefield, which also included Kevin Burnett, Jamie Conway, David Brandon, Kristin Russell, and others.
