Ackley Brands Acquires Betz, SUNU, and The Untold Story Brands and Inventory from Betz Family Winery

Stoel Rives represented Ackley Brands in its acquisition from Betz Family Winery of the Betz, SUNU, and The Untold Story wine brands and inventory. The terms of the sale were not disclosed. The deal follows Ackley Brands’ acquisition from E. & J. Gallo Winery of Columbia Winery and Hogue Cellars.

Ackley Brands is a Seattle-based and family-owned alcohol beverage company with winemaking and brewing and tasting facilities across Oregon and Washington. The acquisition from Betz adds to Ackley Brands’ extensive beverage portfolio, which, as well as Columbia Winery and Hogue Cellars, includes Montinore Estate, Landlines, Cataclysm, Mac & Jack’s, and others.

The Stoel Rives deal team was led by Duff Bryant and included Max Fujii, Claire Mitchell, Anne Glazer, Adam Coady, Jim Shore, Amanda Hailey, and Christjanna Mirgon.
