102 Stoel Rives Attorneys Honored as Best Lawyers In America

PORTLAND- Stoel Rives LLP is proud to announce that 102 of its attorneys are named in the new 2007 edition of The Best Lawyers in America®. That figure includes 37 newly listed lawyers, a substantial increase since last year. Some of the firm's lawyers are named in multiple categories, bringing the total number of Stoel Rives mentions in the new edition to 139. The honorees include attorneys from seven of the firm's nine offices.
Stoel Rives ranks second among U.S. law firms for the number of attorneys listed in the Water Law category, and third for Communications Law, Energy Law and Mergers & Acquisitions Law, all of which are strong growth areas for the firm. Stoel Rives ranks 18th nationwide for the total number of attorneys listed, jumping up three spots from last year. That figure is particularly impressive considering that the firm's size ranks 122nd nationwide based on number of lawyers, according to The National Law Journal's 2005 NLJ 250 rankings. In Oregon, where the firm's main office is located, Stoel Rives garnered more Best Lawyers listings than any other law firm.
