Stoel Rives Welcomes Four New Litigators to Sacramento Office

SACRAMENTO- Stoel Rives LLP, a full-service U.S. business law firm, announced today the addition of four new attorneys in its Sacramento office. Melissa A. Jones, M. Theresa "Tess" Tolentino Meehan and Thomas A. Woods have joined as Of Counsel in the Litigation group, along with Carissa M. Beecham, who joins as an Associate. All four attorneys were previously with the Sacramento office of Greenberg Traurig LLP.

Jones provides counsel in complex commercial litigation, appellate matters and white-collar criminal defense. In addition to her extensive civil litigation background, Jones defends and advises companies in Proposition 65 litigation and compliance issues. Her clients range from large companies to small businesses, in industries including footwear, apparel, fitness and food supplements.

Tolentino Meehan's practice is focused on complex business litigation for corporate clients, in particular for auto manufacturers. She previously served as Honda North America in-house counsel from 2001 to 2007, where she where she handled both corporate and litigation matters and developed the electronic discovery practices for all Honda companies.

Woods has significant experience handling individual and complex products liability litigation on behalf of medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers. Before going into private practice, he served as trial defense counsel for the U.S. Navy JAG Corps and for the U.S. Attorney's Office, Southern District of California.

Beecham graduated from the UC Davis School of Law in 2007, where she was Order of the Coif. Her practice focuses on business and environmental litigation.

In addition to the growth in the Sacramento office, Stoel Rives also welcomes to its San Diego office S. Wayne Rosenbaum, Partner, and Elizabeth A. Cason, Of Counsel. Rosenbaum and Cason bring extensive experience in environmental permitting, compliance, water quality and land use issues, particularly regarding infrastructure and energy projects. Both were formerly at Foley & Lardner LLP.
