Stoel Rives LLP Names Three Portland Attorneys to Firm's Partnership

Three Stoel Rives attorneys from the Portland office have been named partners for 2003, and the firm added a total of eight new principals throughout its offices in Oregon, Washington, Utah and California.

David E. Filippi is a member of the firm's Environmental and Natural Resources group, concentrating his practice on water rights, fish and wildlife law. He is a graduate of Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College (J.D. cum laude, 1996) and Kansas State University (M.A., 1993; B.A., 1991). Filippi joined Stoel Rives as an associate in 1996.

Timothy L. McMahan is a member of the firm's Land Use group, concentrating his practice on land use, real estate development, environmental and municipal law. He holds a graduate degree from the University of Washington in urban planning (M.A., 1991) and is a graduate of Willamette University College of Law (J.D., 1986) and the University of Puget Sound (B.A., 1983). McMahan also practices in the firm's Vancouver, Washington office.

Jeremy D. Sacks is a member of the firm's Trial group, focusing his practice on complex business, securities, class actions and intellectual property litigation. He is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center (J.D. cum laude, 1994) and Wesleyan University (B.A. with high honors, 1991). Prior to joining Stoel Rives in 1996, Sacks was an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson.
