Justin Boose, Saskia de Boer, Sarah Dumont, Sara Gray, Matthew Kalmanson, Michele McNeil, Matthew Phillips, Timothy Snider and Of Counsel
Kelly Knivila.
Boose returns to Stoel Rives as an associate in the firm's Energy & Telecommunications practice group, where his practice focuses on regulated and unregulated energy transactions on behalf of utilities, independent power producers and power marketers. Boose also has litigation experience involving commercial, employment and construction disputes. He received his J.D. magna cum laude from Willamette University College of Law (1998) and his B.A. with honors from Whitman College (1995). Boose is admitted to practice in Oregon, Washington and the U.S. District Court for Oregon.
De Boer is an associate in the firm's Wealth Management practice group. Before joining Stoel Rives, she was the Public Affairs Manager for Planned Parenthood of the Columbia/Willamette. De Boer was a summer associate with Stoel Rives in 2001 and Jones Day Reavis & Pogue in 2002. She received her J.D. from Stanford Law School (2003) and her B.A. from Vassar College (1997). She is admitted to the state bar of Oregon.
Dumont is an associate in the firm's Litigation practice group. Before joining Stoel Rives, she was an intern for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York and a paralegal at Lieff, Cabraser, Heimann & Bernstein in San Francisco. Dumont received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law (2003) and her B.A. from Swarthmore College (1997). She is admitted to practice in Oregon.
Gray is an associate in the firm's Corporate practice group. Before joining Stoel Rives, she worked for the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Department of Energy in Washington, DC, where her positions included professional staff member for the House Transportation Committee's Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment, senior legislative assistant to Congressman Sherwood Boehlert, and Special Assistant to the Director of Nonproliferation and National Security at the Department of Energy. Sara received her J.D. from Cornell Law School (2003) and her B.A. with high honors from The College of William and Mary (1992). She is admitted to the state bar of Oregon.
Kalmanson is an associate in the firm's Litigation practice group. Before joining Stoel Rives, he was an associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison in New York. Kalmanson received his J.D. from Yale Law School (1999) and his B.A. cum laude from the University of Massachusetts (1994). He is admitted to the state bar of Oregon.
Knivila returns to the firm as Of Counsel in the firm's Litigation practice group. Previously, she was Senior Assistant Attorney General with the Oregon Department of Justice. Her practice focuses on state and federal civil litigation matters with an emphasis on health care and complex civil disputes. Knivila received her J.D. magna cum laude from Georgetown University (1989) and her B.A. from Western Oregon State College (1986). She is admitted to practice in Oregon.
McNeil is an associate in the firm's Labor & Employment practice group. Before joining Stoel Rives, she served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Ancer Haggerty of the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon. McNeil received her J.D. from Stanford Law School (2003) and her B.A. magna cum laude from Georgetown University (1995). She is admitted to practice in Oregon.
Phillips is an associate in the firm's Intellectual Property practice group. He concentrates his practice on patent prosecution and litigation directed to electronics and computer-related technologies. Before joining Stoel Rives, he served as a law clerk to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C. and was an associate with Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering's Washington, D.C. office. Phillips received his J.D. cum laude from Georgetown University (2000), his M.S.E.E. and D.E.E. from the University of Utah (1995) and his B.S.E.E. cum laude from the University of Utah (1991). He is admitted to practice before the District of Columbia bar, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Snider is an associate in the firm's Litigation practice group. Before joining Stoel Rives, he was a summer associate in Stoel Rives' Portland office and a law clerk for Saalfeld Griggs, P.C., in Salem and Kathleen T. Zellner and Associates in Naperville, Illinois. Snider received his law degree summa cum laude from Willamette University College of Law (2003) and his B.A. magna cum laude from Wheaton College (1999). He is admitted to practice in Oregon.
