Stoel Rives Names New COO

SEATTLE- Stoel Rives LLP has hired Darryl C. Hair as its new Chief Operating Officer. Hair will report to the Firm Managing Partner, Robert D. Van Brocklin, who is responsible for the overall management of the Firm, including implementation of the Firm's strategies for financial success, growth, practice development and client service. Hair will manage the Firm's administrative staff and its accounting and finance, information systems, human resources, business development, professional development, recruiting and diversity departments.

Hair joins Stoel Rives after 13 years in senior administrative positions at major law firms. Hair served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer at Crowell & Moring LLP in Washington, D.C., which has more than 520 attorneys and 480 staff members in offices in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Prior to that, he was Director of Operations for White & Case LLP's New York office, Manager of Operations at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York, and Chief Operation Officer at Messner & Reeves LLC in Denver.

Hair received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Real Estate from the University of Colorado and his Master of Business Administration in Finance from Columbia University. Hair began his career in the U.S. Navy as an officer and naval aviator. He was awarded three Air Medals for valor and three Navy Commendation Medals in support of Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield.
