Stoel Rives Attorney Michael W. Christopherson Appointed to the Sandy City Board of Adjustment

SALT LAKE CITY- Michael W. Christopherson, an attorney in the Salt Lake City office of Stoel Rives LLP, a full-service U.S. business law firm, has been appointed to a five-year term as a member of the Sandy City Board of Adjustment.

The Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial body charged with the fair and just administration of the Sandy City zoning ordinances. The Board consists of five regular members and two alternate members who are residents of Sandy City. As a regular member of the Board, Michael will be responsible, along with the other Board members, for considering and ruling on applications for zoning variances, special exceptions, and appeals from certain types of alleged errors in planning determinations. Michael has also been appointed to the Sandy City Mayor’s Economic Development Council, a committee that addresses major development issues facing Sandy City.

Michael is an associate with Stoel Rives’ Real Estate section of the Resources, Development and Environment practice group. His practice focuses on all aspects of real estate developments and transactions, including acquisitions and sales, leasing, subdivisions, boundaries, title- and survey-related issues and other due diligence, entity formation and investment structuring. He received his law degree from Cornell University in 2002 and bachelor of arts in English from the University of Utah in 1997.
