SAN FRANCISCO- For third consecutive year, firm makes “Gold Partner” for contributions to the
San Francisco Food Bank’s Food from the Bar Campaign
Stoel Rives LLP and the legal community joined forces in the Food from the Bar campaign to donate valuable time, collect food and raise money to feed San Francisco's most vulnerable children.
In addition, Stoel Rives was awarded Gold Partner status for earning more than 6,000 points ― a combination of dollars, pounds of food and volunteer hours. This marks the third consecutive year that Stoel Rives’ contribution exceeded their previous years’ totals for money raised, food collected and volunteer hours worked. Stoel Rives earned a total of 6,250 points, for an average of 142 points per person.
Approximately 80 firms and organizations participated in the annual food drive. Of these, 8 achieved Platinum Partner status, 7 achieved Gold Partner status, and 28 achieved Silver Partner status. The campaign, in its 14th year, brought in a record-setting amount with approximately 80 participating organizations (a record number of firms) raising $255,623; 25,333 pounds of food; and contributing 1,923 volunteer hours.
Overall, the Food from the Bar campaign had its most successful year. Proceeds go to provide food for the San Francisco Food Bank's distribution programs, including its Healthy Children and Community Food Partner pantries. For 14 years, San Francisco law firms have fought childhood hunger through Food from the Bar, which is sponsored by the Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF).

About the San Francisco Food Bank
The San Francisco Food Bank's mission is to end hunger in San Francisco. It works toward that goal by distributing food and advocating for improvement in government food programs and policies. A nationwide network of food suppliers allows the Food Bank to turn each dollar donated into $9 of non-perishable groceries, fresh produce, bread, and meat for the community. An affiliate of America's Second Harvest, the Nation's Food Bank Network, the San Francisco Food Bank supplies food to more than 500 nonprofit anti-hunger programs * from senior centers and after-school programs to soup kitchens * reaching tens of thousands of individuals each month. This year, the Food Bank will distribute 25 million pounds of food * enough food to provide more than 53,000 meals to hungry San Franciscans every day.
