Stoel Rives Attorney Chad Marriott will serve as a panelist for "Wave Energy in the U.S. Today: How Technology, Academia, Regulations, and Policies are Shaping the Industry," a teleconference presented by the American Bar Association's Renewable, Alternative, and Distributed Energy Resources Committee.
While the U.S. wave energy industry is new to the market as an alternative energy source, many ground-breaking developments are now emerging . This teleconference will present key legal issues and policies impacting domestic wave energy development, including new technology, academic research and political developments. The role of the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement (BOEMRE) will be addressed, as well advances in marine spatial planning, permitting and regulatory action.
