Topic: Facilitating Government Programs for Energy and Environmental Finance
Learn about: The diversity of government programs to encourage different types of clean energy and energy transportation development challenges the creativity of entrepreneurs and financiers. How can the private sector and the public sector work together to make best use of these program incentives? This is not merely a commercial issue; it is key to American security planning, which relies on such public-private cooperation to implement the American response to energy dependence.
Key questions to be discussed include:
- From the federal government’s perspective, what types of issues inhibit the fully successful operation of federal green incentive programs?
- What issues impair the ability of the private sector to take advantage of these programs?
- How does the operation of state incentive programs mesh with these federal programs?
- What forms of action, by nonprofits and by the private sector, can optimize the efficiency of these federal programs?
- How can individual attorneys participate in these efforts?
