Experience

John has represented investors, entrepreneurs and corporate management in a variety of business and strategic matters. His work has included start-up formation and growth, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, commercial and other private financings, public securities offerings and public company reporting and compliance. One focus of John's practice is representing Alaska Native Corporations from his office in Anchorage in their complex M&A transactions in Alaska and throughout the United States.

    • Acquisition of Grand Isle Shipyard, Inc., a Louisiana based services company primarily focused on maintenance and repair of more than 700 offshore platforms off the Louisiana Gulf Coast, from Huntsman Gay Global Capital
    • Acquisition of Pegasus Aircraft Maintenance, an Anchorage-based provider of maintenance, passenger, ramp and cargo services to the aviation industry, from its founders
  • Koniag Development Corporation
    • Sale of Washington Management Group and FedSources to Deltek
    • Acquisition of Open Systems Technologies, an IT services company based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, from its founders
  • Arctic Slope Regional Corporation: Acquisition of the business assets of McGraw Custom Construction, Inc. by ASRC Construction Holding Company
