The group, which includes two former United States Attorneys, a former Associate Independent Counsel (Special Prosecutor) in Washington, D.C., and several former Assistant United States Attorneys, has counseled numerous corporate and individual clients concerning criminal law exposure, the implementation of compliance programs consistent with federal sentencing guidelines, the resolution of problems concerning asset forfeiture, and issues relating to suspension and debarment from government contracting.
As part of a firm with more than 300 lawyers with experience in practically every substantive area of the law, the group is able to assemble industry-specific teams to deal with white collar criminal law problems. The group frequently calls upon attorneys with significant experience in government contracts, banking, health care, tax, securities, forest products and environmental law in order to meet the government's challenge.
The group is well known to the courts and federal prosecutors in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Utah, and its practice covers the entire country. While the group typically works constructively with government lawyers to resolve problems, it is prepared to litigate aggressively when in the client's best interest.
